💛 About Me — Amy Shehan‑Ballou

I'm Amy— a spiritually activated creator, self-taught multimedia artist, and visionary founder of Soul’s Marks. This store is more than a business; it’s the living pulse of my life, my survival, and my story.

My path has not been easy. After a terminal diagnosis and a near-death experience, I came back changed — with clarity, vision, and the unshakable knowing that I still had work to do. I wasn’t finished. I chose to stay.

I built my art studio from the ground up, using donated supplies and determination, transforming a simple barn into a sacred creative sanctuary. My Camaro and that studio — they are all I physically own. They were gifts.  But now I am faced with the decision between holding on to what I’ve built, my material possessions or selling everything I got and choosing life itself... I chose life. Every sacrifice I make is rooted in the desire to stay on this Earth, to see my granddaughters grow, to witness my son become a grandfather, and to honor the time I still have left.

Soul’s Marks was born from that fire. From grief, grit, and relentless hope. From the knowing that art isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am. It is how I survive. It’s how I speak when words fall short.

This space isn’t just an art store. It’s a spiritual portal. A gallery of emotion. A rebellion against invisibility. A love letter to the soul. Every splash of gold and glittery highlight, brushstroke or pencil mark, you see here, holds energy — a frequency of alignment and truth.

This is for the seekers. For the sensitive. For the rebels with too much heart and not enough space to hold it. For those who’ve been to the edge and clawed their way back with nothing but their story and a spark.

I'm a multifaceted artist, channeling creativity through every medium my spirit touches — drawing, painting, mixed media, tattooing, stained glass, etching, wood carving, macrame, beadwork, fiber art, and more. I love it all! 

Art is how I breathe. It’s how I speak, how I release, how I serve. It’s my therapy, my joy, and my divine assignment. My creations are soul marks — pieces of me shaped by memory, transformation, and spirit.

Soul’s Marks is my legacy. My lifeline. My declaration that I am still here.

Each artwork is a bridge — between shadow and light, body and soul, time and eternity. My mission is to awaken, comfort, heal and love. Leaving behind a legacy of beauty, love and light. My energetic imprint. My soul's mark.
